This is a special Taoist ritual worshipping
the dipper stars, also known as "Bai Dou" (拜斗）.
This ritual offering to Nothern Dipper Stars had already
been practiced during the era of the Three Kingdom where Zhu Ge
Liang the well known war strategist, and metaphysician had used it
to lengthen his life.
This offerings is
meant to be made to Dou Mu Yuan Jun (斗母元君）Mother
of the Dipper Stars that governs all the other stars and deities
namely:

She oversees every deities
including Tai Sui (太岁）she's usually
seated in the hall of the sixty Tai Sui as the main deity. She
also had two assistant deity Northern Dipper Deity (北斗星君）also
known as Bei Dou Xing Jun, he has the authority to bestow
blessings and eliminate all bad karma, and disasters. This ritual
is dedicated to Bei Dou Xing Jun which is called Li Dou or Bai Dou
(礼斗/拜斗）. Thus by performing this
offering we will have all our wishes granted, we will obtain
whatever we desire and eliminate all obstacles.
Whereas the Southern Dipper alo
known as Nan Dou Xing Jun （南斗星君） ,
oversees the lifespan of mortals, he has the authority to lengthen
our lifespan or extend the longevity of individual.
In the offering
plates the following items are placed for spiritual support and
there is an indepth meaning to the use of these spiritual
implements:
i) The round
offering plate symbolize the entire universe which are within the
entire realms.
ii) The rice in
the offering plate symbolize all the stars in the universe.
Confers blessings from all the stars above.
iii) The
sword in the offering plates symbolize suppressing and destroying
all evils. Eliminates calamities.
iv) The Weighing
scale represents the element metal or the white tiger. Which
denotes, that ones need to uphold justice.
v) The Ruler
represents the element wood or the green dragon. Which denotes,
that ones need to be modest and walk the path of righteous.
vi) The Scissors
represents the element fire or the red phoenix. Which denotes,
getting rid of evils and refrain from all misconducts.
vii) The Mirror
represents the element water or the black turtle. Which denotes,
the light shines or confers blessings upon the person or
benefactors as the lamp is placed right in front of the mirror.
Denotes that the mirror is the reflection of oneself, one should
contemplate one's actions and thoughts.
viii) The Plaques
is the most important spiritual implements here as its written the
name of the benefactor, date of birth, and time. This plaque is
placed under the umbrella.
xi) The Umbrella
is used as a protection shield. As the plaque is place under the
umbrella. The deities will continues to shower one's with
blessings.
x) The Lamp
symbolize divine radiance upon one's as its placed in front of the
mirror, that will deflect one's Birth star (本明元辰）to
shine brightly. This will directly change one's fortune.
There are three
types of offering to the Northern Dipper Stars each serves a
specific purposes:
a) The offering to the Northern
Dipper Stars - This offering is to lenghten one's life (i.e. after
or before major surgery, illness) also serves to dispell the bad
influence of Tai Sui (Jupiter Star) ie current 2012 year people
born in the year of Dragon, Dog, Ox and Goat are best to perform
worship to Tai Sui. Its also for the purpose of removing bad
karmas, and also removes obstacles.
b) The 5
Directional Wealth Deities Offering with the Northern Dipper Stars
- This offerings is to enhanced one's wealth, accumulate wealth
and success, mostly people who starts a new ventures or suffering
a decline in business will prefer to make this offering.
c) The Human
Affinity Enhancement with the Northern Dipper Stars - This
offering is to enhanced one's relationship with another person,
both the name, date of birth and time are placed together binded
with red strings and placed in the offering to the Northern Dipper
Stars to confer love and affinity on the couples.
Ceremony: Dr.Wilson Yong will write the name, date of birth
and time of the sponsor on a special plaque. This is placed into
the dipper offering platform, a light/lamp will be placed in front
as an offering to the dipper stars deity for
(3) three consecutive days with recitation of prayers continously.
All the information will also be written in the Celestial scroll
（表文）, which will be read out during the
prayers to beseech the deitys to confer blessings to the
participants, and later presented to Heaven during the prayer and
repentance ceremony.
**Note:
This will be done continuous for three days,
however some participants had requested the offering to be made
the entire year, please contact us should you require the offering
for a year. As this ritual or offering can be also done for an
entire year to ensure the continuous blessings if there should be
a special areas or concerns that need to be resolved.
After the 3 days ceremony are
over the following items be ship to the sponsor/donor:
1. A special Dipper Stars
amulet/talismans will be sent to the sponsor as a blessing for the
entire year.
2. Blessed rice which are inside the offering platform are also
send to the sponsor, you may cook or eat the rice, otherwise it
can be kept, whenever someone is sick you can soak a few grains of
rice in water and have the person drink the bless water. can be
used for healing, for cleansing or exorcising scatter the rice in
the area that you require.
3. For the year 2012, this ritual is especially good for people
born in the year of Dragon, and Dog which is in conflict with Tai
Sui (Jupiter Star) and also the other two horoscope which is the
Ox and Goat. This rituals offerings ensure that whatever one does will be
supported and uphold one from falling into bad condition for the
entire 2012 year.
4. Protection from all forms of blackmagic and also spiritual
entities.
5. Bring Wealth, Luck, Success, and Great for new business
ventures or improve current business.
6. Removes obstacles, hindrance and also extremely good to
increase one's health or lifespan.
